It’s Metal Gear Solid Delta, not Metal Gear Solid Triangle

Sony and Konami have just revealed a solid metal gear 3 remake, but it has a curious logo that says solid metal gear Δ: Snake Eater. While preparing our article on the announcement, I assumed that the triangle symbol translated to Metal Gear Solid Delta, but withwhen I read by kotaku very good piece upon the news, my stomach dropped: my city called the new game Metal Gear Solid Triangle: Snake Eaterand I was wondering if we had made a mistake.

To clarify this very important issue, I had to ask Konami’s PR team how we should pronounce the name of the game. The answer? Delta.

“Delta (“Δ”) was chosen because the meaning of the symbol fits the concept of the remake project,” said Tommy Williams, Konami’s head of communications for the Americas, in a statement to the edge. Case closed, although I wonder how the symbol fits with the concept of the project.

It’s Delta.

I’m glad I cleared this up. This is the most important issue of our time since the debate on how to pronounce the word “tears” in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In that case, they are tears like crying, as Nintendo confirmed to eurogamer.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater it is now in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
