Razer announced this week that it will launch its latest line of PC gaming speakers. This line consists of three types of speakers: the Nommo V2, the Nommo V2 Pro, and the Nommo V2 X. It also released a wireless speaker control module. Pricing for the speaker line starts at $149.99, with the speakers launching in June, while the control console launches in August.

The three types of speakers are separated by the number of components. The Nommo V2 Pro is a pair of speakers with, as Razer puts it, “a downward-firing wireless subwoofer,” THX® Spatial Audio, and 3″ full-range drivers. The speakers also feature rear-projectable Chroma RGB writing. The set of docking speakers Nommo V2 also has a subwoofer (wired) and also features rear-projection Chroma lighting.Nommo V2 X is a more minimalist set that features a set of two speakers with rear-facing bass ports.

Barrie Ooi, head of Razer’s PC gaming division, said in a statement: “Today we are redefining what gamers should expect from their desktop audio equipment. The Nommo V2 line isn’t just about listening, it’s about experiencing and fully immersing yourself in the game. Whether you’re following in the enemy’s footsteps in a first-person shooter or lost to the soundtrack of the latest RPG, these are the best PC gaming speakers that deliver an incredibly engaging audiovisual experience.”

Along with the Nommo V2 line, Razer also announced the wireless control pod. Gamers control their audio with this device, which features a clickable rotary dial and source button. It comes bundled with the Nommo V2 Pro, though gamers can also purchase it separately. The three sets of speakers launch in June, while the control module launches separately in August.
